Pink and Blue Plaid for Baby

I love the current trend of making "gingham" or "buffalo check" quilts, with a combination of a light and a dark print like this quilt, but thought I'd try to expand on that idea for this quilt, creating more of a plaid look, and I love it.

These quilts are so simple in design but I find myself second guessing my fabric choices a lot - I can spend hours pulling and putting away fabrics. Something I'm working on!

This particular lovely is crafted from a blue and white floral, a pink floral, and a navy blue floral with chicks that pulls colors from the other two prints.

The quilting, loose flowers, was done on my new long-arm quilting machine. Yes, I can't recall if I mentioned it but I picked up a long-arm quilting machine in January. The machine, with 18" throat, and frame were so reasonably priced that I couldn't pass them up, and while there is quite a learning curve I'm having a lot of fun getting the hang of it.

Backed with soft pink minky and bound with pink gingham.

Available at the Jude Harbor shop.
