A Little Bit More Renovating

When we started redoing the downstairs floors I thought it'd be simple.

I budgeted two weeks for it. It's been three and the project is just over halfway completed.

The above image is my family room, currently housing the living room, dining room, breakfast nook, and kitchen (in addition to the furniture that belongs in the family room!). Not fun, not fun at all.

Work in progress, the breakfast area.

Completed living room/dining room floors (the same floors from this post), looking at these floors every day is very encouraging and has certainly kept us motivated! The end result is what I'd hoped for ... floors that look "real", not manufactured.

Once the project is complete I'll share our step-by-step process to creating unique, durable, less-expensive wood floors.
