Beach at Sunset
After a rough, long week most of the kids and I found ourselves in Naples. With a little time to kill. At almost sunset. Near the beach. With a cloudless sky.
Those kids didn't get a vote. Mama steered that car straight for the nearest beach. And it was the best medicine. It always is.
On a nearly empty beach we sat, we played, they climbed, they made friends, we watched a wedding, they got wet, we looked, we took pictures, we closed our eyes and listened, I soaked in the tranquility and felt the stress leave my soul, and in awe we watched God paint the sky.
Perfection.
As we left one of the children asked if we could do this every week. Maybe we must.
