"Tea is wealth itself, because there is nothing that cannot be lost,no problem that will not disappear, no burden that will not float away, between the first sip and the last."
I'm not sure how I ended up making this quilt top! It is quite different from anything I've done before, at least as far as style, but I think that's a good thing.
Because this isn't a baby quilt, at least I don't really see it as one, I made it large enough to make a good sized lap quilt. It will end up being one of the largest quilts I've made so far.
The bordered squares measure about 10", the sashing is about 2.5" and the borders add another few inches in each direction.
The quilt will be backed with a pretty blue and white floral ... almost porcelain-looking ... and will be quilted randomly.
The green fabric is a flannel. The gold is a home decorating weight fabric with tea cups and pots, and the blue is a pretty floral with a touch of lilac.
I can easily see this gentle quilt gracing a living room sofa or rocking chair.
