Oh My Gosh ... I'm Obsessed ... Part 3
The last of these quilts ... for now. This one features 20 fussy-cut randomly-sized center squares surrounded by coordinating stripe and dot fabrics, and then finished with white cotton and two border rows.
I had so much fun with this one. The center squares do not necessarily match the coordinating fabric (I guess that might make it not coordinating, huh?) ... looking at them they do seem to match well but that wasn't my intention ... it's just random.
The outside border is from Joann's ... I lucked out and found a few fabrics there that were great matches for these quilts at a fraction of the cost of the Amy Schimler fabrics.
The squares are each a total of 7" on each side. The center sizes vary. This was a tough one to cut for me because bending over the cutting table is getting tougher and tougher, and this required a lot of bending and cutting ... but it was so worth it in the end. Each of these squares seems to have a personality of its own.
I don't plan to do any of the quilting on these until after the babe arrives (in a few short weeks), but I may put together a few more tops in the meantime.
