Oh Wow! Lilly Pulitzer print Small Quilt
My phone background is a Lilly print, and I love the looks of her shift dresses and other Florida-friendly accessories.
When I was asked if I wanted a large patchwork piece of fabric full of Lilly Pulitzer prints I didn't hesitate to say, "absolutely!". I don't know the history behind what I was given, other than it came from a retiree in Naples, Florida.
I took on the task of turning it into the beautiful quilt it is today, having to remove some of the stitching and add the white sashing. When I sewed on the pink binding I added darker pink ric rac to add a bit more of that Lilly feel.
The quilt is stitched along the seams with a gentle, wavy stitch.
The backing fabric is a coordinating floral from my collection.
I think this would make an amazing wall hanging. Or toddler bed cover. Or baby blanket (sure to be a keepsake!).
The quilt is available in the Jude Harbor shop or on Etsy (same price either way).
