Review and Giveaway: Purex Crystals Aromatherapy
The kids and I went camping recently. Tent camping. I took one picture. This is it:
Yes, that's a freaking rattlesnake. I don't like snakes. At all. There are six kinds of poisonous snakes in Florida and this guy is one of them. What. The. Heck. And we saw him as we were pulling into camp, not as we were leaving (which would have felt much better). And we were tent camping. Not cool. Not cool at all.
I'm very happy and relieved to say that we did not see him or his friends the rest of the weekend and had a great time camping. The kids played from sun-up to sun-down and got happily filthy. Very filthy. They came home covered in dirt and dust reeking a combination of bug spray, dirt, sweat, and campfire. After a strict command of, "Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. Get in the shower immediately." I set out to do the laundry, much of which was equally as stinky and dirty.
A perfect opportunity to try out the Purex Crystals Aromatherapy Energy I received to review. I also received some coupons to give away, enter at the bottom of this post.
I have to go ahead and admit that I'm a little biased towards Purex Crystals. I LOVE this product and use it in every wash load. And, yes, it smells good, and yes, the smells lasts a long time. I love Purex detergent as well and have done loads with and without the crystals added in ... the load with crystals smells better and stays smelling good longer every time.
These new Purex Crystals Aromatherapy scents are Well Being, Energy, and Serenity. Each soothing scent is blended with essential oils, promises long lasting scent infusion, and, according to Purex, will "stimulate your life with peaceful bliss and boundless spirit". The energy scent is citrus, the other two are floral.
Now I'm not sure any in-wash fragrance booster is really going to "stimulate my life" but I do love this scent. It's very fresh and clean.
Back to my laundry ... Yes, the Purex Crystals, along with Purex detergent, got rid of the camping odors. Because of the Purex Crystals the laundry came out smelling terrific, even the shoes that got washed smelled good.

ReplyDeleteI did try a sample of Purex crystals once. I was impressed by the long lasting scent. I live in Florida, too. I fortunately have NEVER seen one of those snakes in the wild. Holy Moly.

ReplyDeletePurex crystals are puuurrr-fect (that was for your kitty) for the litter box, or next to the litter box in a small bowl. It helps to cover up the smell really good. I had a kitty and that's what I would do. cdutra43(at)gmail(dot)com

ReplyDeleteI hate snakes too. The first year that I had moved out of my own I found one in my house on Christmas Eve. Yes in my house. None of my neighbors were home to help me. I started calling family and friends in my area (I was not going to attempt to get it out by myself) of course everyone was away at family dinners. My brother finally left his girlfriend's parents to come get the thing. I hate them!!!

ReplyDeleteI use to live in Monterey CA. and every day after work I would walk home, and see the biggest snakes!! I would stop and stare, and take a few pictures, but I would get scared that they'd come at me and strangle me to death!! hahah
