One month after completing this quilt, three months after beginning this quilt, here it is. If I were to name this quilt "Procrastination" would be the most obvious choice.

This quilt is based on the Perkiomen Valley pattern in Kaffe Fassett's Quilts in the Sun book. I wanted to create a quilt using alot of Amy Butler prints and thought I'd found a perfect, unique marriage with prints and the pattern. I was pretty darn pleased with myself for my brilliant idea of combining Kaffe Fassett and Amy Butler.

Until I read the front of the book. Pages are devoted to Amy Butler. Ah well, while I now know it wasn't my bright idea to pair the two, I also know that it's a sound pairing. And it sure works well.

As I was saying, mostly Amy Butler prints. Lots of others added in for variety. The border is a rich red floral. The quilting is done in straight lines, pivoting around the solid green squares.

The quilt is lap sized, about 53" by 63".

The backside is solid apple green. I opted to go with solid to show off the quilting pattern.

Am I the only one with a cat who insists on photo bombing at every opportunity? I swear, Hippo sees the camera and comes running. He knows no camera shyness.
