Vacation, Post 1

Warning:
Very photo heavy post. Consider yourself warned.

Our road trip to Wisconsin:

The GPS sent us to the wrong place while heading to the campground in Tennessee. With views like this we had no complaints.

Home sweet home in the Smoky Mountains (Cades Cove, Great Smoky Mountains National Park). Our tent leaks, thus the tarp. Bonus: our tent might look goofy but anything at all can touch the sides with no worries. The weather was perfect, and we had no mosquito or other bug problems.

We discovered this creek in the morning and the kids had a great time exploring. Not much like Southwest Florida!

The scenic route to the hiking path to Abrams Falls in Cades Cove.

Butterflies always land on him. It's magic.

The hiking path to Abrams Falls is 2.5 miles, up and down a mountain. River did really well, but asked for a little carrying every now and then.

Abrams Falls. We made it! It was so worth it.

Exploring on the way back from the Falls. These two would have been happy to stay in this spot all day (me too!).

The Lost Sea Adventure, an underwater lake and caverns. We read about this in a Boy Scout magazine years ago and make a plan to go there the next time we went to Wisconsin. The caverns were amazing and huge (miles of caves) ... one portion used to house a nightclub with three huge dance floors.
