WIP's ... or "Yes, I might have issues focusing on just one task"
What I'm working on these days:
This is a quilt top a friend asked me to make for his new grandniece.
Green, brown, and blue squares within squares ... I wasn't going to do sashing on this but it looked kind of scary crazy busy without the sashing to break it up a little.
Sailboats. Love. I am having so much fun making these squares. They'll be joined with cream/natural cotton sashing. I am making 16 of the 8" squares. This is such an enjoyable project.
After making squares for the Bushfire Quilt Project (link on sidebar) I thought I'd try some for an entire quilt. I've been wanting to do a black and white quilt for quite a while and am thrilled that the wonky squares came out exactly as I'd hoped.
And now to change the subject entirely ... I found some great deals today that I want to pass along.
*Walmart has Kraft dressing for $1.59, there was a $1.50 off coupon in this Sunday's paper ... final cost for a bottle of dressing $.09
*Walgreens had a drop bin filled with Colgate toothbrushes with a price card for $1. I was buying 1 ... it rang up at $.24. I bought a total of 13 and used coupons for $1.25 off ... final cost for each toothbrush $.14 each!
*Walgreens also had Listerine Cool Mint Kids mouthwash on clearance for $1.25. I had a $1 off coupon from the Sunday paper ... final cost for the full-size bottle of mouthwash $.25

I love all of your WIPs. No wonder you end up with so many, since they are all so fun to do. I always have a bunch of stuff in works. At least I have a variety when time for sewing comes.
ReplyDeleteGreat deals too.
