Slow Down
One of the unexpected gifts given by a new baby is having to slow down ... slow down to feed him, slow down to rock him, slow down to catch the awesome moments of him with his siblings, slow down to help him fall asleep, slow down to watch him grow.
I'm cherishing the change of pace. It's relaxing, and I'm loving noticing little things going on around me, especially with the children, that I might have missed otherwise ... the ways in which they help each other, seeing the wheels turning in their brains, the kind and generous acts they perform, catching quick little glimpes of their "growing up" selves.
Thanks for the very special gift R.

I love that - it really does change your pace and helps you focus on the most important things.
ReplyDeleteHe's already looking a little older (sniff, sniff) - he's so precious. I'm praying for you and hoping you are doing ok during this time.
