Two posts in two days. Maybe I'm getting back on track ... or not ... find out next week, I guess.

Here's the beginning of my quilt for the Doll Quilt Swap 5.



My partner has a similar style to my own ... bright and cheerful. As soon as I saw her blog this idea of columns of color mixed with columns of flowers came to mind and, so far, it's turning out exactly as I'd hoped. I'm having a lot of fun with this ... the small scale is so much less intimidating than a large quilt ... it's so much easier to just go for it.



I'm not sure yet what the back and binding will be. I believe the quilting will be random free-motion quilting on the colored columns and just the buttons that'll be the yo-yo flower centers on the white.
