Happy Valentine's Day

Love ...

is realizing at about 11:00 in the morning that "C. could come to work with you" and "bye" as Jason and I rushed out the door to various destinations isn't the same as saying "Happy Valentine's Day honey", and being able to laugh about it together on the phone when we finally had a minute to speak.

is meeting 1 day old puppies, so soft and wonderful and perfect, with a very doting mother. We were also able to see and touch a wild bobcat being evaluated for a leg injury (he was quite sedated).

is running into my mother at the fabric store. How cool is that? And not only did we see her, she picked out the fabric for the back of the quilt that had had me stumped all week.

is snuggling with K. as he valiently fights a cold and fever.

is knowing I'll get my camera back tomorrow.

is Jason's Valentine's Day card ... "I Love You because even when you don't understand me ... you can still stand me." It fits, believe me ... we have very different senses of humor.

is throwing caution to the wind and letting the kids eat as much of their Valentine's candy as they wanted to (it wasn't much, but still not our normal way of doing things). No one died and they had fun, and I enjoyed the wide eyes and huge smiles as they heard me say, "I don't care, eat as much as you want". It was well worth it.

is getting mail from Hancock's of Paducah with packages of charm squares ... yum, charm squares.

  1. Ok, I'm sitting here laughing about a line I read 5 minutes ago, and I opened up your blog. Tell me this isn't funny!

Bwahahahaaa! I kill me! I think I'm going to cry! (I can just see your eyes rolling now).

    I love you!

Because they kept saying, "Bach, Bach, Bach!"
