Happy Summer!

I'm not sure why, but I'm very excited that summer has arrived. Given that "summer" starts her in March and doesn't end until sometime between October and December, I'm not sure why I mark the beginning of summer to happily, but I always have. To me it's kind of a declaration that it's time for corn on the cob, watermelon, and swimming, and lots of joy. (plus, it's close to my birthday :) )
