I'm a Slacker

I haven't given my little blog any attention this week or most of last week.  Sorry little blog ... it's not that I don't

care, I do, it's just that ... well ... oh honestly, last week just flew by, I have no excuse for my negligence, I woke up this morning and it was Monday and I have no idea where the time went.

I haven't been sewing much at all lately.  I've realized that I've got plenty available on etsy and
really don't need to make anything else right now.  That
realization made me sad because I really do like to sew, I just plain like making quilts.  I like playing with the fabrics.  I like handsewing the bindings while the kids play at parks or at the pool.  I like seeing the finished product.

So I googled Project Linus and have e-mailed the local contact person about joining a local group
and making quilts to donate.   I don't have money at the moment to donate to anything, but I already have fabric and batting so I think this will be a great way to give right now.  I'm very excited about

Oh, ok, since I can't shop right now maybe someone else can take advantage of this.  Hancock'
s of Paducah has a bunch of Amy Butler fabrics on sale for $5 a yard.  Lots of other fabrics too, but the Amy Butler swatches were the ones that flipped my skirt.

I do have a freebie to pass along in another post, so expect that soon ...

Enjoy the unrelated pictures.  C. took the top photo and the one of herself (she has mastered the time delay feature on the camera) and I. took the bottom one.  The others were snapped by me.
