Lucy

Please meet sweet little Miss Lucy, our newest family member.

Three weeks old.

Miss Lucy is an orphan. She arrived at our house a week or so ago at the ripe old age of three weeks. I have agreed to "foster" her until she's off the bottle and eating and drinking from a bowl. Goodness, I just couldn't pass up the chance to have a baby in the house.

Three weeks.
She's growing well, getting stronger and more curious every day. The kids adore her and she sure adores attention. Thankfully, Hippo is tolerant of her, he's a guy ... no nurturing instinct in that cat at all, but tolerance is more than I'd expected so I'm beyond happy (he'd never own up to it, but I think deep down he likes her).

One of them is playing "Chase the Tail". The other one doesn't love that game so much.

Unfortunately she's got some tummy troubles and I've spent a few sleepless nights googling solutions to her woes (and a few too many dollars on vets to treat her).

In her bed.
She's teeny tiny, we spend a lot of time watching our feet when she's out and about. She's very hard to photograph because she never stays still, most pictures are just blurs of mini kitty.

It has been such a treat to watch her grow and change. I can't wait to see what the next month brings for Miss Lucy.

  1. We have a cat we got when he was under 1 week old. It was great fun when he was a baby -- however, he doesn't know kitty boundaries and is affectionately called the devil cat by my husband and me. have fun!!
