Dun-Dun-Dun

Making this ...

Because of this ...

Ack! My oldest "baby" is leaving for college. For the nine millionth time, where has the time gone?  Just yesterday she was learning to read and now she's off to college? How does that happen?

She'll be close to home, at least for the first year, and I'm sure we'll see plenty of her when she's hungry and needs laundry done. She'll be in the dorms, which I think will give her more of an opportunity to immerse herself in the college environment.

The quilt is made of many 2.75" squares and wonky stars. This was round 2 of her quilt, round 1 was turned into a baby quilt when she decided it wasn't quite what she was looking for.

It looks to me like it lays a little funny at one corner, so I may have some picking and restitching to do.

As far as quilting it ... I'm not sure what the plan is there. I don't do twin sized quilts and I'm finding this a bit overwhelming.

But I have a week and a half to get it done ... or maybe if I don't finish the quilt she'll be stuck staying here? No, I suppose not.
