Girlie Sewing :)
My last three children have been boys. I love them very much. But they can't rock a pillowcase dress, pretty ruffly pants, cute little skirts and tops, or adorable hair accessories and purses. No, it just wouldn't be good.
So when one of my favorite little girls turned one I was thrilled to get to sew for her.
I knew immediately I'd make her a bubble skirt, an idea I got here. Ok, this is the easiest, easiest, easiest skirt ever. And it looks wonderful. Here is the tutorial. It took maybe an hour to make, probably less. My skirt came out a little long but I think it's ok.
I added an appliqued top with the little one's first initial on it. I considered doing freezer paper stencil of a sign language hand doing the initial but I wasn't sure how it'd turn out ... I think I'm going to try that for River.
Happy Birthday Miss M.!
