Thank you for your recent inquiry.
Yes, I am ignoring you.
Love,
Me
I mentioned to a friend the other day that I'd decided not to post on my blog for a while and she said I should say so. So I'm saying so: I've decided not to post for a while.
I'm in some sort of state of transition in life. Well, nothing that dramatic really.
This blog started as a sewing/quilting/crafting blog. I also wanted a blog, other than the Ditto Kiddo blog, where I could post about stuff. And this was it.
And that worked well for quite a while.
Until the whole divorce mess. Not to change the subject, but divorce sucks ... and it has sucked a lot out of me. I'm still embroiled in legal crap that leaves me in tears, wishing it would just end and knowing it should but that it's out of my control. I'm tired. My time is spent striving to be the best parent I can for my kids - their father is not in this area and sees them when he can, but most of the time it's just me and them. I love them so insanely much. And I want so much for them to be happy and to adjust well to life and to their changing selves as they get older. I truly believe that is what my #1 job and priority is now, and I feel so blessed and incredibly lucky to be the mother of my children and to be entrusted with that job.
Anyhoo ... 6 kids, a home-based full-time childcare business, home schooling, maintaining the home and yard, dealing with finances, etc. is pretty much all I can fit on my beautiful plate right now.
My point ... I can't believe I still remember what it is ... is that right now I can't commit to this being any particular sort of blog, so I'm taking a break from it, until I find my "me" footing again - the hobby/activity that satisfies my need to do something for myself (oh my gosh, we all need that ... and it's so far down on my priority list it's ridiculous). I've been doing a little bit of sewing, but it's hard to make time for it. I'm also thinking about taking a class - maybe cooking or dancing or some sort of new-to-me craft. I'm just not sure what my blog-worthy niche is right now (would love suggestions, friends!).
I'm still around, and will post randomly. If you think of it, send us positive thoughts ... that'd mean a lot to me.
Thanks for being here. My love to you.
